iABC-DnE has developed the AI Applications in Health Care (AIAHC) series of certifications to help users in medical care-related professions, and others interested in healthcare learn the basic knowledge, skills, and applications of AI. AI common content includes: AI basics, industrial AI applications, data science and big data, AI core technologies, generative AI, AI ethics, legal, and social implications, etc. AI long-term care applications include: smart independent living & safety support, personalized health promotion and disability prevention, social connection and psychological support, LTC service operation and management. AI medical care applications include: intelligent medical care assessment and decision support, personalized medical care planning, implementation and optimization, workflow and operation management optimization, patient empowerment and continuous care, and human-AI collaboration & care practice integration.
The AIAHC certification series examines whether candidates have been qualified in the basic knowledge, technology, and application capabilities of workplace-required AI literacy, long-term care or medical care. The certification exam concept scope/topics and concept/skills competency indicators are all formulated by the iABC-DnE Workplace Competency Council (WCC), a panel of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) representing the iABC-DnE's global audience.
Based on the needs of applications for different target users, the AIAHC programs have been divided into three levels: Fundamentals, Specialist, and Expert. The AIAHC programs are internationally recognized and reflect the most relevant AI Literacy and Applications knowledge (cognition) and skills (behavior) needed in today’s health care academic and workplace settings. To certify, a candidate must take either the Fundamentals level exam, the Specialist level exam, or the Expert level exam.
